Job summary

Agilus Consulting Group in Vancouver, BC seeks an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for major mining and industrial projects. You will mentor junior staff and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams in an EPCM environment.

Required: Engineering degree with P.Eng designation in Canada and 7+ years of experience in industrial or EPCM settings. Proficiency with ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, ASPEN and SPELEx is expected.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree and P.Eng. designation in Canada.
• 7+ years of electrical engineering experience in industrial/EPCM environments.
• Experience with mining, mineral processing or heavy industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineers, designers, and CAD personnel through project execution.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers-in-training and design staff.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, specifications, and equipment packages.
• Review vendor documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Develop conceptual designs, studies, technical reports and proposals.
• Coordinate with clients and project teams to deliver on schedule and within budget.

Our client is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join their Vancouver-based engineering team. Working within a multidisciplinary EPCM environment, you will lead electrical engineering and design activities, mentor junior professionals, and contribute to the successful delivery of projects ranging from large-scale capital developments to operational support initiatives.

A typical day:

Requirements:

• Hold an Engineering degree and Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada
• Bring 7+ years of electrical engineering experience within industrial or EPCM project environments
• Demonstrate experience supporting mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial projects
• Possess strong knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations
• Be proficient with electrical engineering software including ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, ASPEN, and SPELEx
• Exhibit excellent communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
