Your impact
Jacobs is seeking a full-time Electrical Engineering Designer to join our Electrical and Instrumentation & Control Team in Toronto.
You will be responsible for preparing design drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD and MicroStation), building models using 3D modelling software (Revit and OpenBuildings Designer) and design documentation using Microsoft Office, through the application of appropriate design criteria, technical manuals and standards. You will work closely with engineers and other team members to coordinate and complete project assignments, to efficiently deliver project design documentation. You will require a sound knowledge of procedures and technical concepts within the electrical field and understand the purpose and application of applicable code, regulations and standards to your work.
This is a technical role, with opportunities in the design development, evaluation, recommendation, and specification of engineered systems, such as electrical power distribution up to 27.6kV and low voltage for controls, emergency and standby generation systems, lighting and lighting controls, telecommunications and security infrastructure, life safety systems, and fire alarm and detection systems. You will contribute to solutions to our clients to problems they didn’t even know they had. If you’re up for the challenge, we’ve been looking for someone just like you.
