Job summary

Architecture49 is seeking an experienced Project Architect to join our Atlantic Canada team in Halifax. You will coordinate site visits, oversee on-site activities, and contribute to quality control, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver patient-centered healthcare designs and educational spaces.

The ideal candidate has 5–9 years of construction-phase experience, strong envelope knowledge, and familiarity with BIM, REVIT, AutoCAD, and Adobe tools.

Qualifications

  • 5-9 years’ experience with a focus on the construction phase of projects.
  • Sound technical and building envelope knowledge; strong understanding of codes; familiarity with Nova Scotia construction practices.
  • Credentials from a construction contract administration course or equivalent training is an asset.
  • Preference for knowledge of BIM principles & workflows; REVIT, AutoCAD, MS 365, Bluebeam and Adobe Reader.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and travel to conduct site visits throughout Atlantic Canada, attend site meetings, oversee site activities and provide quality control
  • Assist with project progress and site reports
  • Assist with shop drawings, answering Contractor RFIs and issuing contract changes
  • Assist with quality control/constructability reviews on drawings and specifications
  • Collaborate and coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team

Qualifications

  • Preference given to candidates with knowledge of BIM principles & workflows; REVIT software; AutoCAD software; Microsoft 365 environment; and Bluebeam and Adobe Reader
Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT:

$77,400 – $102,500

MB & ON:

$70,600 – $97,200

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC:

$69,900 – $92,900

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The wage range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
