Job summary

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is seeking a cheerful Dietary Aide to support patient feeding services in the hospital. You will obtain patients' meal selections and preferences daily, enter orders into the computer system, and communicate with food service staff to meet dietary needs.

Prefer candidates who are studying or graduated from a Food & Nutrition program, with knowledge of therapeutic nutrition and good computer skills. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Student or graduate of Food & Nutrition program preferred
• 1 year Nutrition/diet related experience preferred
• Good telephone manner with clear verbal and written communication
• Good interpersonal skills with a patient-focused care philosophy
• Knowledge of therapeutic nutrition is an asset
• CBORD knowledge is preferred
• Food Handler Certification is an asset
• Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Keyboarding at 50 wpm with max 5% error rate
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
