Job summary

Dexterra is seeking a Food Services Clerk for on-site work in a healthcare setting. You will perform a range of clerical tasks within food services, requiring excellent customer service, auditing and attention to detail to support patient experience.

Responsibilities include tray assembly checks, ticket reconciliation, coordinating with the Emergency department, and maintaining accurate meal production records to ensure smooth daily operations.

• Check assembled tray against meal ticket to ensure order is as submitted.
• Compare tickets to record and identify gaps to ensure clear on requirements. Confirm no duplicates.
• Call the Emergency department to determine number and type of meal trays required.
• Ensure clarity for trayline staff – name printed at bottom, with any special notes/instructions, colour code special diet menus according to legend.
• Temperature check food and beverages and record. Maintain records.
• Print inpatient record and update meal tickets; modify production schedule.

As a Food Services Clerk, reporting to the Food Services Manager, you will perform a variety of clerical taskswithin the food services function. This position requires excellent customer service skills, auditing skills, attention to detail and is an essentialcontributor to excellent patient experience.

Your work will include:

• Receive and fill any new menu as per request logged
• Check assembled tray against meal ticket to ensure order is as submitted
• Compare tickets to record.Contact Units where there are any gaps to ensure clear on requirements. Confirm no duplicates.
• Call the Emergency departmentto determine number and type of meal trays required
