Job summary

Englobe's Grande Prairie office is seeking a dedicated Civil Technologist to join our Municipal and Transportation Infrastructure team. You will work on diverse projects, advancing your career in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Ideal candidates have 3-5 years of municipal civil engineering experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Civil3D. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement and opportunities for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
• Member or eligibility for membership in ASET.
• 3-5 years of municipal civil engineering experience, including: Water Distribution, Wastewater, Stormwater, Site Grading, Transportation and Structures (bridges/culverts).
• Demonstrated knowledge of general construction methods.
• Strong presentation, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, reliable and detail-oriented.
• Proficiency with Civil3D software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents under supervision.
• Develop, prepare, and review civil engineering design drawings, coordinating with the Design Team.
• Conduct site inspections and materials testing as required.
• Manage construction contracts and liaise with clients and contractors.
• Coordinate designs and construction inspections with multiple disciplines.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Perform general project duties including preparing cost estimates, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents, under the supervision of a Senior Engineer or Technologist
• Develop, prepare, and review civil engineering design drawings, coordinating with the engineering Design Team
• Conduct site inspections and materials testing as required
• Manage construction contracts and liaise with clients and contractors
• Coordinate designs and construction inspections with multiple disciplines
