The role:

We are seeking Intermediate Chemical Process Engineers to join our team! In this role, you will lead the design of lithium concentration and refining plants while contributing to water recycling, waste reduction, and environmental protection.

With increasing demand for our solutions, you’ll have opportunities for global travel, career growth, and involvement in cutting-edge product development. No prior water treatment experience is required. Instead, we are looking for candidates who:

  • Have a strong foundation in engineering principles.
  • Possess high aptitude and adaptability.
  • Show initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking to bridge knowledge gaps and ensure reliable designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the process design for lithium recovery and desalination plants using modular water treatment systems.
  • Research, evaluate, and select process devices for optimal technological and economic fit.
  • Contribute to product development, technology innovation, and process optimization.
  • Design cost-effective, low-risk, and sustainable processes, and develop process models to support these designs.
  • Create and maintain PFDs, P&IDs, and mass balances, and size/specify equipment as required.
  • Develop control philosophies for system operations and support commissioning plans.
  • Participate in PHA and HAZOP reviews to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
  • Engage in hands-on commissioning, operation, and troubleshooting at our facility or at customer sites.
  • Analyze operational data to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing to enhance productivity and process excellence.

What You Will Bring:

  • A degree in Chemical or Process Engineering with 5-10 years of post-graduation experience.
  • A strong understanding and familiarity of engineering design workflows, standards, and procedures.
  • Experience in developing P&IDs, preferably using AutoCAD P&ID or similar software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Hands-on tooling and troubleshooting skills are considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and maintain high-quality work while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • A quick learner with the ability to adapt to new skills and challenges.
  • A positive attitude, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to contribute wherever needed.
