Intermediate Accountant

Location : Mid-town Toronto, ON

Compensation : CA$65,000 - CA$75,000 base, bonus, and great benefits

Our client is a real estate company based in North York, ON, developing and providing residential properties across North America. They are seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join their team on a full-time basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a diverse real estate portfolio and be a key member of the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing timely and accurate management reporting for commercial real estate. If you are motivated and passionate about real estate, this could be an exciting opportunity. Responsibilities include :

• Handling full cycle accounting functions
• Managing bank accounts, cash inflows, payable invoices, and payments
• Ensuring data accuracy in the accounting system
• Overseeing tenant ledgers and resolving billing discrepancies
• Assisting Property Management and other departments with accounting information
• Collaborating with property accountants on accounting, reporting, and property management activities
• Responding to tenant inquiries
• Preparing and reviewing monthly and quarterly reporting packages
• Preparing tenant operating and tax reconciliations
• Handling treasury functions
• Performing ad hoc duties as required

Requirements :

• CPA designation or enrollment in the program
• Post-secondary accounting education or equivalent qualification
• Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and accounting software
• Experience in property management accounting
