Job summary

The Intensive Language Program Instructor will design, instruct, facilitate and coordinate language learning experiences, and assess language learner fluency development throughout an intensive program in a Yukon First Nation language.

Reporting to the Manager of Language Training Programs, this position requires post-secondary education in education or curriculum development and a minimum of two years’ experience in language, education or curriculum fields.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in education or curriculum development or equivalent.
• Minimum two years’ experience in language, education or curriculum related field.
• Low-Intermediate language proficiency in a Yukon First Nation language.

Responsibilities

• Design, instruct, facilitate and coordinate language learning experiences.
• Assess language learner fluency development throughout the program.
• Coordinate program activities with the Manager of Language Training Programs.
