Job summary

Humber College is seeking two Integration Facilitators for the FHLS program at North Campus. This role supports the Community Integration through Co-operative Education (CICE) program, assessing and modifying learning activities for students with developmental intellectual challenges.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-year diploma or equivalent with emphasis in working with individuals who have developmental/intellectual challenges.
  • Experience with adults who have an intellectual disability in educational settings or through field placements, volunteering or paid work.
  • Proficiency with online learning apps such as Google Workspace, Kahoot, Teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, adapt and implement student learning opportunities and services for the CICE program.
  • Prepare progress reviews and documentation in cooperation with students and faculty.
  • Facilitate services and supports for students and assist in advocacy within college life.

Job Details:
Position Title: CICE Integration Facilitator
Status: Initiatives and Opportunities

Duration: Until August 2028
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Faculty/Department: Faculty of Health & Life Sciences
Campus/Location: North Campus
Salary: Payband H: $37.34 - $43.18

Starting Salary: $37.34; the wage is determined by the Full-Time Support Collective Agreement. Compensation is progressional within the designated payband and is based on years of service.

About theCICE Integration Facilitator Role:

Under the direction of the Associate Dean, the Integration Facilitator performs duties associated with the academic and service operation of the Community Integration through Co-operative Education certificate (CICE) program.This is a two-year program for students with developmental/intellectual disabilities.The incumbent assesses, adapts/modifies, implements and monitors student learning opportunities, services and progress in the C.I.C.E. program in co-operation with individual student(s) and faculty and staff involvement.The incumbent provides adaptation and modifications to in-class activities, assignments, tests and examinations in elective courses, provides assistance in arranging supports and resources for students, prepares and writes progress reviews and other documentation in co-operation with students, prepares and assists students in their own improvement and advocacy in college life, facilitates service operation for the program and performs other duties as assigned.

Education

A minimum of 2-year diploma or equivalent with emphasis in working with individuals who have developmental orintellectual challenges.

Experience

A minimum of 2 years working experience with adults who have an intellectual disability in an educational setting and/or focus through field placements, volunteer or paid work.

Proficiency with a variety of online learning apps such as Google Workspace, Kahoot, Teams.
