Job summary

BHP Group is seeking an Operator for the Integrated Control Center in Saskatoon. Work location is Downtown, with a 40-hour week and occasional travel to the Jansen mine site.

Qualifications

• Field or control room operator experience.
• Hands-on experience implementing operational processes.
• Knowledge of operational principles and policies.
• Proficiency with computers and information technology.
• Experience with commissioning/start-up recommended.
• Experience with potash operations recommended.

Responsibilities

• Remotely monitor and operate equipment within production facilities.
• Manage process performance by adjusting operating parameters.
• Identify and troubleshoot performance challenges and raise work requests.
• Manage process upsets and respond to deviations and alarms.
• Perform pre-shift and shift close-out reviews and detailed handovers.
• Track and report production losses and downtime.
• Contribute to RCAs and develop countermeasures.
• Monitor process control system performance and identify improvements.
• Strive for 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste.
