Job summary

Stalwart Insurance Brokers Ltd. is expanding its team and seeking an Insurance Lead with a strong accounting background to join our Vancouver or Toronto office.

This technical account-management role blends financial analysis, insurance administration, and client-file management. The successful candidate will handle detailed financial records, complex client structures, and coordination with lenders, insurers, and advisors, with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in accounting, commerce, business, finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation, CPA candidacy, or progress toward an accounting designation is preferred, but not required.
• 2–5 years of experience in accounting or related financial roles.
• Strong Excel skills for multi-entity schedules, cash-flow models, reconciliations, and workpapers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain flow-of-funds models across clients, lenders, insurers, and entities.
• Review premium schedules, policy values, ownership records, and related financial information.
• Reconcile policy and financing data with source documents and statements.
• Maintain accurate continuity schedules for premiums, loans and interest.
• Prepare financial summaries and reports for clients and advisors.
• Assist with tracking fees, invoices, and deadlines.
