W.C. Burgess in Brockville is seeking a Personal Lines Broker to service an assigned book and contribute to growth by bringing in new business. You will join a collaborative team focused on tailored coverage and exceptional client care.

Responsibilities include handling quotes, renewals, endorsements, remarkets, policy changes, and cancellations, plus loss support with empathy. Build strong client relationships and stay current on markets and underwriting guidelines to protect what matters most.

Qualifications

• RIBO licensed and able to practice in Ontario.
• Minimum 1 year of Personal Lines broker experience.
• Experience servicing and managing an assigned book of business.
• Strong knowledge of Personal Lines products, markets, and underwriting.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organization and follow-through.
• Client-first mindset with ability to provide thoughtful insurance advice.
• Experience with PowerBroker and Applied Rating Services is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Take first notice of loss and assist clients through the claims process with empathy and clear communication.
• Follow up diligently on outstanding client and account activities to ensure timely resolutions.
• Stay current on insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and assigned markets while remaining open to new opportunities.
• Collaborate with the broader team to provide a consistent, high-quality client experience.

Are you a relationship-focused Personal Lines Broker who enjoys helping clients find the right coverage and building lasting relationships?

W.C. Burgess is looking for a Personal Lines Broker to join our Brockville team. Working as part of a collaborative team, you’ll be responsible for servicing and maintaining an assigned book of business while having the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the brokerage through new business.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Service and maintain an assigned Personal Lines book of business, with the opportunity to earn additional commission on new business you bring to W.C. Burgess.
• Manage the full client lifecycle, including quotes, new business, renewals, endorsements, remarkets, policy changes, and cancellations.
• Review client risks and underwriting information carefully to ensure accuracy and identify the best insurance solutions for each client’s unique needs.
• Build trusted client relationships by providing knowledgeable, personalized advice and ensuring clients have the right coverage to protect what matters most.
• Take first notice of loss and assist clients through the claims process with empathy, professionalism, and clear communication.
• Follow up diligently on outstanding client and account activities to ensure they are resolved promptly.
• Stay current on insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and assigned markets while remaining open to new market opportunities.
• Collaborate with the broader team to provide a consistent, high-quality client experience.

Qualifications

• RIBO licensed.
• Minimum 1 year of Personal Lines Broker experience.
• Proven experience servicing and managing an assigned book of business.
• Strong knowledge of Personal Lines insurance products, markets, and underwriting practices.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• A client-first mindset with the ability to provide thoughtful insurance advice.
• Experience with PowerBroker and Applied Rating Services is considered an asset.
