Job summary

Western Financial Group in Nanaimo is seeking an Insurance Advisor to quote and sell home and auto policies by phone, email, or in-person. In this role you will support the Commercial Account Executive, handle client service activities, and help generate new business and renewals.

The successful candidate will have a General Level 1 Insurance License and experience in commercial insurance, strong communication skills, and proficiency with multiple software programs.

Qualifications

• General Level 1 Insurance License and Commercial Insurance experience required
• Proficient in navigating multiple computer programs
• You must be able to communicate professionally in-person, over the phone, and through email
• Prior experience achieving sales targets in a similar or comparable role
• Working experience in EPIC an asset

Responsibilities

• Provide quotes and sell new policies to customers via phone, in-person and by email
• Support the Commercial Account Executive by assisting with client service activities, preparing documentation, and facilitating new business and renewal opportunities
• Assist customers with the purchase of their home and auto policy
• Manage and build customer relationships and meet insurance sales targets
• Follow up on all client accounts to resolve outstanding activities

What a Typical Day Looks Like

• You will provide quotes and sell new policies to customers via phone, in-person and by email

Support the Commercial Account Executive by assisting with client service activities, preparing documentation, and facilitating new business and renewal opportunities

• Everyday you will assist customers with the purchase of their home and auto policy
• You will manage and build customer relationships and meet insurance sales targets
• Follow up on all client accounts to resolve outstanding activities
• Conduct sales calls for new business and making timely renewal calls for existing customer business

The Value You Bring

• General Level 1 Insurance License and Commercial Insurance experience required
• Proficient in navigating multiple computer programs
