Imagine playing a central role in reducing the carbon footprint of Canada’s busiest public transit system and doing so with a globally recognized Top Employer. Alstom, part of the ONxpress consortium, is working on transforming mobility in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas through the On-Corridor Works project, involving electric locomotives, fleet upgrades, signaling, telecommunications, digital systems, and more.

We are seeking an Installation Scheduler to support our installation team. This role involves developing accurate schedules, assisting in planning, representing the team at meetings, and being the first point of contact for installation queries.

Responsibilities
  • Organize meetings with stakeholders to develop and maintain installation schedules.
  • Review overall project schedules and identify activities impacting installation work.
  • Represent the installation team at schedule meetings and provide feedback.
  • Gather updates and progress statuses from installation teams through regular meetings.
  • Contribute to project schedules with meaningful updates and perform risk analyses as needed.
  • Develop and maintain detailed work schedules with support from sub-system teams.
  • Provide ad-hoc schedules and KPIs for management reporting.
  • Identify potential delays and communicate proactively for mitigation.
Performance Metrics
  • Approval of baseline project schedule.
  • Consistent schedule updates and delay analyses.
  • Timely delivery of KPIs and planning documents.
  • Metrics on schedule robustness.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
Experience
  • 7-10 years in construction or related industry.
  • Project management experience, especially in complex projects.
  • Proficiency in scheduling processes and tools like Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Experience with resource-loaded schedules, EVM, and risk analysis.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and team skills.
  • Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and time management.
  • Knowledge of Metrolinx processes is a plus.
