Job description

Genesis Media builds personal brands that dominate on social media. We’ve helped clients gain over 10 million followers and generate more than 5 billion organic views across all platforms.

We’ve grown accounts from 0 to 1,000,000+ followers multiple times and turned 5-figure businesses into 6-figure and 7-figure businesses through content. Our mission is simple: Find people with something valuable to say, and make them famous.

Role Overview:

The Instagram Growth Strategist owns the entire outcome of a creator’s account. You decide: what we talk about, how we talk about it, why it will work.

Your job is to take what a creator is naturally good at and combine it with what the market already wants. You must understand human attention, universal themes, and demand so you can turn raw ideas into content people actually want to watch. You manage the people and the output. That means working with creators (who are often emotional, busy, and under pressure) and guiding the media team (editors, designers, videographers, account managers) so everyone moves in the same direction. You define the biggest constraints, solve them, and keep the pipeline clean.

You are responsible for one thing: Growth. If the account grows, it’s because of you. If it doesn’t, you figure out why and fix it.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Client communication: Keep creators aligned, clear, and confident. Turn their ideas and strengths into content that wins.
  • Social media growth: Build content systems that consistently drive views, followers, and demand. Identify what’s working, why it’s working, and how to make it work better.
  • Manage the media team: Direct editors, designers, videographers, and account managers. Set clear expectations. Give feedback that actually improves output. Make sure deadlines are hit.
  • Solve growth plateaus: When views stall or followers stop increasing, you diagnose the cause and create a new strategy. No guessing. Only data and patterns.
  • Creative & strategic direction: Own the angle, the message, the storytelling, and the positioning. Make sure every piece of content has a reason to exist.
Required Skills:
  • Social media growth experience. You know how to take an account from low views → consistent traction → breakout results.
  • Editing knowledge. You don’t need to be the best editor in the room, but you must know what makes a strong edit and how to direct one.
  • Camera & lighting understanding. You know how to make a creator look good on camera and how to capture content in any environment.
  • Clear communication. You can give feedback that actually gets followed. You can explain direction in simple words. Your team knows exactly what you mean.
  • High likability & emotionally intelligent. You can manage talent without drama, build trust quickly, and keep creators calm, focused, and confident.
Schedule:

Initially part-time, with flexibility to grow into a full-time role based on performance and fit.
