Job Title: UI Programmer

Location: Canada (Remote - Within Pacific Time Zone (PST) to Eastern Time Zone (EST))

Rate: $40- $50/hour CAD

Employment Type: Freelance

Position - UI Programmer

We are looking for a UI Programmer to join the Lakshya Digital team. The UI Programmer will help design and implement new menus and HUDs while building a solid and performant UI toolkit for the UI/UX artists. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, their work will enable the highest quality UI/UX experience for our players.

Reporting

The UI Programmer will report to the Technical Program Manager.

Responsibilities And Duties

1. Develop, implement, and maintain a UI toolkit used by UI/UX artists
2. Develop, implement, and maintain various menus and HUDs (2D & 3D)
3. Develop optimized UI software solutions tailored to the UI engine
4. Document UI systems and define UI standard methodologies

Minimum Qualifications

1. 5+ years of professional software development experience
2. 3+ years of experience as a UI programmer
3. Excellent C++ coding and debugging skills with experience in code optimization
4. Familiarity with UI/UX concepts
5. Interest in working on various UI-related tasks, including UI engine tasks
6. Ability to function effectively in a team environment while prioritizing your own workload
7. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience developing with Unreal Engine
2. Experience working with other UI middleware
3. UI development experience on console (PlayStation) and PC platforms
4. Live game experience
5. Educational background in software ergonomics
