Job summary

BDO Canada is seeking an Insolvency Analyst to join our Personal Debt Solutions team on the Proposals team. You will support proposal reviews, negotiations with creditors, and chairing creditor meetings while maintaining strong client communication.

Qualifications

Post-secondary education is an asset.
1+ years of relevant work experience in a financial services environment (Insolvency, Banking, Finance, Credit Counseling).
Previous insolvency experience is an asset but not required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in dealing with debtors and creditors.

Responsibilities

Review consumer proposals for acceptance by creditors or need for negotiations.
Assist with negotiating amendments to consumer proposals with debtors and creditors.
Assist with chairing meetings of creditors and drafting minutes.
Respond to debtors’ inquiries in a timely manner.
Answer questions relating to the consumer proposal.
Liaise with team members to ensure efficient administration of the consumer proposal.
Participate in ongoing training to improve technical knowledge.
Complete other duties as assigned.
