Job summary

BDO Canada is seeking a Junior Insolvency Analyst to join the Personal Debt Solutions team on the Proposals stream. You will support reviewing proposals, negotiations, and creditor communications to ensure timely and accurate outcomes.

You will work with a collaborative team, develop your legal and financial knowledge, and participate in ongoing training while helping clients navigate consumer proposals and related processes.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education is an asset.
  • One or more years of relevant work experience in a financial service environment; Insolvency, Banking, Finance, Credit Counseling or other relevant areas
  • Previous insolvency experience (asset but not required)
  • Great interpersonal skills to deal with team members, debtors, and creditors
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills to respond to different situations
  • Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Takes personal ownership and responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
  • A team player who can also work independently

Responsibilities

  • Completing other duties as assigned

Your Opportunity

Join our Personal Debt Solutions team as a Junior Insolvency Analyst on our Proposals team, where you'll play a key role in supporting the following responsibilities:

  • Reviewing consumer proposals for acceptance by creditors or whether proposal negotiations are required
  • Assisting with negotiating with the debtor and creditors on amendments to the consumer proposals

Your Experience And Education
  • Post-secondary education is an asset
