Are you a driven sales professional ready to make a real impact? Shift Energy Group is hiring a Solar Sales Consultant to join our national sales team on Vancouver Island! This role is designed for an experienced sales consultant who enjoys working with warm leads, takes initiative to go the extra mile to close deals, and thrives in a mid-length sales cycle environment. It’s ideal for someone who is proactive, resilient, and motivated by building meaningful client relationships.

About the Role

As an Inside Solar Sales Consultant, your focus will be on educating clients, building relationships, and closing sales. You'll work with warm leads generated by our in-house marketing team.

You’ll be leading the Kelowna market — someone the national sales team can rely on to lead and conquer the Kelowna and Okanagan region. You will be responsible for managing your own pipeline, handling outbound follow-ups, and guiding clients from initial inquiry to signed agreement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule in-house consultations from internal leads
  • Engage in outbound communication with potential clients and leads via email and phone
  • Work independently in your designated market and maintain motivation with minimal supervision
  • Use persuasive communication skills and tools virtually and in-person to close sales
  • Attend sales meetings and actively contribute to team discussions and strategies
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to align with our clients' availability
  • Utilize various online tools and software for processing information
  • Keep up to date with market trends and continuously learn about our products and services
  • Report directly to the Sales Manager
What We’re Looking For
  • 2–3 years of experience in sales or commission-based roles is required, with a preference for experience in B2C sales and renewable resources sector
  • Experience working in mid-to-long sales cycles, with the patience and persistence to nurture leads over time
  • Confident communicator — both written and verbal — with the ability to delegate and coordinate effectively across teams when needed
  • Highly motivated, resilient, and able to work independently without daily oversight
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and a clean driving record
Working Conditions:
  • This semi-remote position involves regular travel within the region, including visits to client sites and potential sales locations, which may be local or occasionally farther away
  • The role includes working in diverse settings such as trade shows and community events
  • Working hours are flexible; while there may be regular office hours, evening or weekend work is often required to meet with clients or attend events
