Job summary

Gentek is a leading exterior home improvement wholesaler and manufacturer based in Canada. We are seeking a Branch Inside Sales Support/Warehouseperson in Red Deer, Alberta.

You will act as a customer partner, handling greetings, inquiries, order entry, and shipping tasks to keep the branch running smoothly. You will gain product knowledge across windows, siding, and related materials while delivering outstanding service to contractors, builders, and retailers.

Qualifications

• Completed High School certificate required; post-secondary education is an asset.
• Experience in the building industry (e.g., hardware store, pro-desk) is valuable, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Able to read and write word and letter/number sequences.
• Must be computer proficient.
• High compliance with standards, requirements, and processes.
• Emotional intelligence that facilitates respectful and courteous interactions with customers and other Gentek employees.
• Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and perform in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the distribution branch, or as they call.
• Answer customer inquiries about the materials and services Gentek provides.
• Make it easy for customers to do business with us. You are their business partner.
• Enter and process customer orders through Gentek’s order system.
• Provide accurate and helpful information about products, availability, and delivery status.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to customers and order.
• Pick orders and prepare them in staging areas for delivery.
• Assist with loading and unloading of delivery trucks.
• Pick orders for immediate pick-up.
• Ensure accuracy of order against paperwork.
• Move incoming product to the designated location in the branch.

In this client-facing role, you understand the importance of customer service and the foundation of ACT. You will become a product knowledge expert, knowing all about what we sell and how to support our customers. General responsibilities include:

Customer Service
