Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Business Development Specialist – Inside Sales in Toronto to drive new revenue by selling products and services over the phone to small business customers. The role requires a strong work ethic, clear objectives, and urgency, reporting to a Vice President, Small Business Sales.

Responsibilities include maintaining a robust activity cadence, building a healthy pipeline, executing outbound campaigns, handling referrals, and ensuring accurate Salesforce records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training in business or sales management.
• 1–2 years of sales experience (inside sales, call center sales, or phone-based consultative selling preferred).
• Strong selling, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust quickly over the phone.
• Ability to manage time, prioritize daily outreach, and work multiple lead sources (campaigns, self-sourced, and referrals).
• Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and comfort with activity tracking and reporting.
• Knowledge of JPMorganChase products and pricing practices (or ability to learn quickly).

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong activity discipline, including a minimum of 25 outbound calls per day.
• Build and sustain a pipeline of prospects and opportunities through self-sourced lead generation and structured follow-up.
• Execute outbound campaigns with email/call cadences and targeted call lists.
• Track campaign performance and outcomes and provide feedback to sales leadership.
• Manage and convert inbound referrals with rapid outreach and clear handoffs.
• Ensure accurate Salesforce entries and finalize terms with customers.
• Maximize each interaction by communicating the value of Chase Payment Solutions.
• Achieve monthly contract targets and prepare contracts with supporting documents.
• Track and report leads, pipeline status, and activity on time.
