Job summary

Air Liquide in Winnipeg is seeking a customer-focused representative for front-line service in our retail stores. You will advise customers on products, provide pricing and quotations, and process orders while adhering to GMP for medical gases and devices.

You will support account executives, perform order tracking, organize product displays, and collaborate with logistics to replenish cylinders. A welding background and forklift experience are assets for success.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of industry experience in customer service or sales of welding or industrial products.
• Knowledge of welding processes and products is an asset but not mandatory.
• Good knowledge of computer systems and Google Suite.
• Secondary diploma required.
• A positive attitude and customer service focus.
• Forklift experience would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Listen actively to customers to advise them on products, prices and availability to satisfy their needs.
• Adheres to GMP in relation to medical gases and medical devices.
• Receive and process customer orders (phone, email, fax).
• Prepare quotations and standard tender requests.
• Support local account executives for back-office activities.
• Perform phone cold-calls and blitz in market segments.
• Post-sales follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Organise product displays in-store and manage delivery slips.
• Coordinate with logistics to ensure cylinder replenishment.
• Learn new computer systems to provide accurate pricing and quotes.
• Track orders and cylinders and grow logistics knowledge.
• Mentor from Outside Sales Team and Managers to grow advancement opportunities.

This job will lead you to build lasting relationships with customers and collaborate on developing business markets. We are offering a key position for an exceptionally customer-centric individual! As front line customer service in our retail stores, you will have the opportunity to:

• Listens actively to customers to advise them on products, prices and availability in order to satisfy their needs. Answers technical questions.


• Adheres to, and follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as it pertains to medical gases, and medical devices within the scope of their role.


• Receives and processes customer orders (phone, email in, fax, etc)


• Prepares quotations and standard tender requests.


• Provides support to the local account executives for back-office activities.


• Performs phone “cold-calls” for network customers and “blitz” in some market segments.


• Does post-sales follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction


• Organises the display of products in the store


• Process and confirm delivery slips.


• Communicates with the logistics team to ensure cylinder replenishing.


• Use your welding knowledge and experience to deliver products to our customers, and help them find the right supplies for their projects and business needs


• Learn new computer systems, enabling you to give accurate information, pricing and quotes for our customers.


• Learn how to track orders/cylinders and expand your knowledge in logistics


• Work in a clean and organized environment by maintaining our product displays


• Get to know our customer base both on the front line and making deliveries, learn about our products and mentor from our Outside Sales Team and Managers to grow your advancement opportunities!
