Job summary

Rexel Canada in Surrey, BC is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to directly service customers by phone and email, process orders, and quote requests. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships while ensuring timely and accurate responses.

With at least two years in inside sales within the electrical industry, you will leverage product knowledge and AS400 experience to advise on stock, pricing, and alternatives, while contributing to a collaborative team and growth

Qualifications

• Minimum two years inside sales in electrical industry.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Multitasking and time management capabilities.
• Computer literate and proficient with systems.
• AS400 experience is an asset.
• Electrical apprenticeship experience is an advantage.
• Product knowledge of electrical distribution.
• 1-5 years at an electrical distributor is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Directly service customers via phone & email on a daily basis.
• Process orders, inquiries & quotations every day.
• Consistently achieve a high level of customer service.
• Confirm stock availability and suggest alternatives as required.
• Make follow-up calls to customers on all quotations.
• Make at least four outbound calls per day to solicit more business.
• Assist customers with ecommerce inquiries.

Job Description

As the Inside Sales Representative based in Surrey, BC, your essential duties will be to:

• Directly service customers via phone & email on a daily basis.
• Process orders, inquiries & quotations every day.
• Consistently achieve a high level of customer service.
• Confirm stock availability and suggest alternatives as required.
• Make follow-up calls to customers on all quotations.
• Make at least four (4) outbound calls per day to various customers to solicit additional business.
• Assist customers with any inquiries regarding ecommerce.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of inside sales experience in electrical industry.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and build customer relationships
• Strong multitasking and time management skills
• Be computer literate
• AS400 experience would be an asset
• Electrical apprenticeship experience is considered an advantage.
• Team Player.
• Product knowledge of the electrical business
• 1-5 years at an electrical distributor experience.

Additional Information

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is negotiable. Final compensation within this range will be determined by factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. This range does not include variable pay or other components of Rexel's total rewards package.
