Job summary

Proax Technologies Ltd. in Calgary, AB, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to handle quotations, orders and customer inquiries by phone, fax or email, supporting both customers and the Outside Sales team.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls and assess needs to promote automation solutions.
• Support Outside Sales staff.
• Inventory management; basic shipping/receiving.
• Manage customer accounts; enter contracts in OS.
• Quotations and follow-up for products offered.
• Continuous product training and knowledge update.
• Expedite orders and follow up with customers.
• Liaise with credit department on customer credit status.
• Understand customer segmentation and market trends.
• Coordinate between customers, outside sales, technicians and manufacturers' reps.
• Receive, unpack and inspect shipments; address shortages or damages.
• Ensure timely shipments and participate in regular inventory counts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

General Description

The Inside Sales Representative receives(by telephone, fax or email) requests for quotations, orders, and lead times from customers. Makes quotations on standard items, writes orders, and relays pertinent order information to customers. Coordinates with other departments in handling purchase orders and provides service to customers.
Performs duties related to incoming and outgoing shipments.

Job Duties /Responsibilities

• Answer customer calls and interact with customers to assess and understand their needs and sell and promote automation solutions
• Work directly with and support Outside Sales staff
• Inventory Management, Basic understanding of shipping/receiving
• Customer’s accounts management; enter job/price contracts into the operating system
• Promotions and quotations & quote follow-up of products offered by Proax
• Continuous training on products offered
• Expedite orders and follow up with customers
• Understand and work on Vendor’s portal
• Liaise with credit department concerning credit status of customer when rush orders are received
• Understand customer segmentation, product balance, key customer relationships, market shares and general trends in the economic environment
• Facilitate communications between customers, outside sales representatives, technicians, and manufacturers' representatives
• Receive, unpack, and examine incoming shipments; reject damaged items, record shortages, and arrange to rectify damages and shortages
• Ensure that all shipments are sent out and/or received in a timely fashionParticipate in regular inventory count
• Other related duties as assigned

Work ExperienceRequirements / Skills

• 1 - 3 years of experience in Inside Sales with a demonstrated ability to deal with customers
• Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organization and presentation skills
• Ability to communicate with various levels of Proax clearly and effectively from sales reps to senior management
• Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
• Self-motivated, high attention to detail, and well organized
• 5+ years using Microsoft Office software especially MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook
• This position is 100% on-site
