Job summary

Sinclair Supply Ltd. is seeking a customer service focused associate to assist in-store and by phone. You will relay delivery dates, research HVACR products, and manage order processing while providing exceptional service to customers.

Join our Edmonton team to support inventory, merchandising, and timely deliveries. A High School Diploma with HVACR exposure and at least 2 years in wholesale counter sales is preferred; equipment handling like forklift is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills required.
• Knowledge of HVAC industry and parts is an asset.
• High School Diploma, HVACR, or trade experience.
• Knowledge of HVACR products; hydronics knowledge is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years in customer service or counter sales in wholesale/distribution.
• Strong relationship-building with customers, vendors and teammates.
• Willingness to learn about new product offerings.
• Forklift experience is an asset.
• Able to learn/order processing software (Eclipse).

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with purchases in-store, by phone or email.
• Relay delivery dates, inventory, and promotions between vendors and customers.
• Research products and provide recommendations from our assortment.
• Enter, pick and pack sales orders generated at the counter.
• Provide exceptional service to in-store customers.
• Maintain and clean the counter area and displays.
• Monitor stock and inform purchasing about low inventory.
• Follow up on backorders with vendors and provide delivery dates.
• Process returns to customers both on account and cash sales.
• Respond to afterhours emergency calls as scheduled.
• Participate in annual inventory counts.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with their purchases in-store and over phone or email
• Relay delivery dates, inventory, and promotions between vendors and customers
• Research product for customers and provide recommendations on our assortment of products
• Enter, pick and pack sales orders generated at the counter
• Provide exceptional assistance to in-store customers
• Maintain and clean the counter area including any merchandising displays
• Monitor internal stock and inform purchasing team about potential low inventory levels
• Follow up on backorders with vendors and provide customer with accurate delivery dates
• Process returns to customers both on account and through cash sales
• Respond to afterhours emergency calls according to schedule
• Participate in an annual inventory count

Qualification/Experience:

• Strong customer service skills
• Knowledge of HVAC industry and parts considered an asset
• High School Diploma, HVACR, or trade experience
• Knowledge of products sold in HVACR industry; preference given to those with in-depth knowledge of hydronics
• Minimum 2 years of experience with customer service or counter sales in a wholesale/distribution environment
• Outstanding history of building and fostering strong relationships with customers, vendors and teammates
• Comprehensive product knowledge and willingness to continually learn about new product offerings
• Forklift experience is an asset
• Ability to learn and operate order processing software (Eclipse)
