Job summary

Gerrie Electric Wholesale Ltd. in Ontario is seeking a customer service/sales professional to service customer requirements, address sourcing and pricing, and grow relationships with a strong emphasis on repeat business.

The role requires post-secondary education in an electrical discipline and 3+ years in sales within the electrical industry. Proficiency in MS Office, excellent communication, and the drive to succeed are essential.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education from an Electrical related discipline.
• 3+ years’ experience in Sales (Electrical industry preferred).
• Must have a proven track record.
• Must have the personality and drive to sell and succeed.
• Strong communication and relationship building skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Servicing customer requirements, questions and concerns promptly while acting as liaison between customers and Gerrie Electric.
• Address customer needs regarding sourcing, pricing, and availability of material.
• Grow and maintain relationships with repeat customers.
• Promote and increase business through proactive calls.
• Enter and generate customer orders efficiently.
• Provide support to Account Managers.
• Provide accurate quotations, pricing and availability to customers as required.
• Expedite and follow-up on orders and back orders.
• Process customer credits for defective products in a timely manner.
• Back up Counter Sales staff as required.

What you'll be doing

• This position is responsible for servicing customer requirements, questions and concerns in a prompt and efficient manner while acting as a liaison between customers and Gerrie Electric. The incumbent of this role will also actively promote and drive business through the calling of customers.
• Promptly address customer needs with regards to sourcing, pricing, and availability of material
• Growing and maintaining relationships with customers (we have a lot of repeat customers)
• Promote and increase business through proactive calls
• Receive, enter and generate customer orders in the system in an efficient manner
• Work in conjunction with and provide support to Account Managers
• Provide accurate quotations, pricing and availability to customers as required
• Expedite and follow-up on orders and back orders
• Process customer credits (defectives products, etc.) in a timely manner
• Provide back up to Counter Sales staff, as required
