Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. in Cumberland, BC, is seeking an Inside Contract Sales Representative to drive contract sales by managing relationships with commercial clients and providing tailored building materials solutions.

You will quote projects, process orders, and stay informed about a wide range of materials while contributing to a team that values safety, reliability, and customer service. Shifts are Tue-Sat; wage is 24.50 to 32.25 CAD per hour.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of building supplies.
• Available to work weekends.
• Sales experience an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quotes, enter delivery orders, place special orders, and assist in purchasing.
• Build strong customer relationships through callbacks and delivery follow-ups.
• Maintain merchandising standards in designated areas.
• Become a subject matter expert.
• Attend sales team meetings as needed.
• Learn about building materials such as lumber, roofing, siding, insulation, drywall, hardware, retaining walls, pavers, concrete, etc.
• Keep desk area clean and presentable.
• Respect safety policies in yard and job sites.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.

Job description

As an Inside Contract Sales Representative, you will be instrumental in driving contract sales by managing relationships with commercial clients, understanding their project needs, and providing tailored building materials solutions. Your role will involve effective communication, collaboration with external partners, and achieving sales targets. The shifts are Tuesday - Saturday and the wage range is $24.50 - $32.25 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Project quotes, enter delivery orders, place special orders, and assist in purchasing.
• Build strong customer relationships through reliable call backs, follow up on deliveries, and awareness of project timeline to foresee material needs.
• Maintaining merchandising standards in designated areas
• Will be required to become subject matter expert.
• Attend sales team meetings as needed.
• Be a source of knowledge and willing to learn about new building materials: lumber, roofing, siding, insulation, drywall, hardware, retaining walls, pavers, concrete, etc.
• Take pride in your work environment keeping your desk area clean and presentable.
• Respect and obey safety policies and procedures in our yard and on job sites.
• All other duties as directed by management.
