Job description

The Crump Group is a rapidly growing company with some of the largest dog treat brands in Canada. With our own manufacturing based in Mississauga, Ontario, we are dedicated to providing high-quality pet products that promote our pets’ health & well-being. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Innovation Project Manager to join our growing team.

Job Overview

Innovation is our DNA! With our in-house R&D lab and owning our own manufacturing, we love getting creative with new products and believe that new ideas can come from anywhere. Our Project Management function is the core of our innovation program, bringing all of our departments together as a cohesive team to deliver an ambitious innovation agenda each year.

Role and Responsibilities:
  1. Champion our innovation program and new product development process
  2. Drive delivery on key milestones to carve the leading edge of Innovation in the category
  3. Exhibit a flexible can-do attitude and strong initiative to support our overall growth
  4. Solve for expedited and off-track project timelines to deliver new products on time every time
  5. Motivate cross-functional teams to take positive action and accountability for their project tasks
  6. Support cross-functional team members to help connect the dots across departments
  7. Develop full-scale project plans, scope, and associated documents; document and clearly communicate updates throughout
  8. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify risks, and devise contingency plans
  9. Continuously improve our processes and efficiency to remain nimble
Recipe for Success:
  1. 5 to 10 years of experience in new product development and project planning (food, CPG or manufacturing experience preferred)
  2. Highly organized and detail-oriented
  3. Excellent teamwork and a natural drive to achieve shared goals
  4. Strong interpersonal skills and business perspective
  5. Experience with project management workflows and software
  6. Experience in CPG products & innovation is a plus
  7. Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred
  8. Project Management certifications are a plus
