Job summary

Jokey North America Inc. is seeking Injection Moulding Leads to supervise production cells on the Continental schedule. You will oversee line operators, ensure material supply, and maintain safety on the shop floor.

The role requires strong math and communication skills, and the ability to stand for long shifts while lifting up to 50 lbs. Competitive wages and benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production within the Production Cell according to the schedule.
• Oversee a team of line operators within the Production Cell.
• Supply machines with material as instructed by the Shift Supervisor and production orders.
• Supply IML magazines with IML labels.
• Transport full pallets to the intermediate storage area.
• Perform machine line clearance as directed by Shift Supervisor.
• Inform the Shift Supervisor of non-conformities.
• Transport rejects to the scrap staging area.
• Maintain general cleanliness and order in the work area.
• Observe and practice safe work at all times.
• Fill in as a Line Operator when needed.
• Complete pallet wrapping when the Warehouse is unable to.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job description

We are looking for Injection MouldingLeads to join the Jokey North America team!

The Jokey Group consists of 14 production sites in 11 countries, employing over 2,500 employees and supplying customers in over 80 countries. We manufacture high quality injection moulded plastic buckets and lids for food and non-food items. Using monoplastics, we aim to decrease our environmental impact, and strengthen our contributions towards the development of a sustainable and circular economy.

This position is on a set Continental schedule.

Night Shift 6:00pm to 6:00am.

Day Shift 6:00am to 6:00pm.

Position Responsibilities:

• Monitor the running production in their Production Cell in accordance with production schedule;


• Oversee a team of line operators within their Production Cell;


• Supply machines with material according to the instructions of the Injection Shift Supervisor and pursuant to the production order;


• Supply the IML magazines with IML labels;


• Transport full pallets to the intermediate storage area;


• Perform all machine line clearance subject to the verification by Shift Supervisor;


• Inform the Shift Supervisor when non-conformities occur;


• Transport the rejects to the scrap staging area;


• General cleanliness and order in the work area;


• Observe and practice safe work at all times;


• Fill in as a Line Operator when needed;


• Complete pallet wrapping when Warehouse is unable;


• Other duties as assigned by management.

• 2 years of Injection work experience preferred


• Good math skills
