PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Learn about medications produced by pharmaceutical companies and comply with Health Canada’s regulatory standards and Product Monographs for administration.
- Administer medications (IV, SC, IM) in a specialty Innomar Clinic, Vancouver location.
- Assess and monitor infusion and injection treatments as directed by protocols.
- Complete necessary documentation based on policies, procedures, directions from the College of Nurses, and ISO standards.
- Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and product complaints in accordance with Innomar policies & procedures.
- Provide reliable availability for four 10-hour shifts per week, shifts may be within Monday to Saturday, between 7:30 am and 7:00 pm, with no statutory holidays or night shifts.
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including case managers, physicians, pharmacy, and scheduling to meet timelines.
- Participate in team web-based meetings and training sessions to maintain professional standards.
- Participate in specialized pharmaceutical trainings as required.
- Adhere to professional nursing standards and clinic operating procedures.
- Follow all health and safety standards as per provincial regulations.
- Complete ongoing and annual training within specified timeframes.
- Utilize digital platforms for independent learning to meet work requirements.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse required.
- One year of IV initiation experience preferred.
- Current registration with a licensing body and CPR certification required.
- Experience in critical care, emergency, acute care, or homecare settings preferred.
- Certifications like ACLS, PALS, MS, CVAA, and central line experience are assets.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and other computer programs.
- Reliable internet access, cell phone for appointments, and fax machine knowledge required.
- Strong customer service, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and travel within the designated area.
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industry is an asset.
- Business and financial acumen is an asset.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and presentation skills.
- Self-directed and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance coverage required.
The successful candidate may have daily contact with English-speaking customers, patients, or peers from cross-functional teams.
