Shared Health leads the planning and coordination of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview

Support Network operations in a complex 24x7x365 system-critical environment. Minimum 3 years’ experience supporting a complex network environment required. Work may focus on: Routing, Switching, SD-WAN, Firewalling, Wireless deployments and troubleshooting, log monitoring and analysis. Security capabilities through Network access control are essential. Experience with vendor-specific support tools such as Aruba Central, Orchestrator, and ClearPass or Cisco Prime, ISE is an asset. Physically replacing hardware and participating in a provincial on-call rotation are critical aspects of this position.

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in enterprise IT supporting infrastructure, focusing on one or more of the following areas:
• Server virtualization including storage hardware, applications, and OS configuration and backup
• Network management including hardware, applications, and OS support
• Security administration, logs, and event management, including monitoring and storage optimization

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Diploma in information technology from an accredited postsecondary institution
• Vendor and industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, MCSE, CCNP, ITIL) are assets

Certification/Licensure/Registration

• Valid Manitoba driver’s license and use of personal vehicle for occasional travel within Manitoba

Qualifications and Skills

Physical Requirements

• Work primarily in an environmentally controlled office environment at a computer
• Lifting and moving large computer equipment up to 50 lbs
• Participation in an ‘on call’ rotation including evenings and weekends, with some overtime
• Manage competing demands and interruptions, scheduling focused time for planning and concentration
