Ledcor is seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to support a major infrastructure project in Whitby, Ontario. You will lead development, implementation, and maintenance of schedules and budgets, conduct detailed cost analyses, and provide strategic insights for informed decision-making.

The role requires 10+ years in project controls, strong Excel/Primavera P6 skills, and a track record with CMAR or similar delivery methods.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Project Controls for large-scale infrastructure projects with a major contractor.
• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Proven expertise in cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and schedule integration for complex, multi-phase projects
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contracts, risk management, and change control processes
• Demonstrated experience working within collaborative delivery models such as CMAR, Alliance, or Target Price agreements
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Primavera P6, and project management/financial systems (JDE ERP experience preferred)
• Skilled in developing and managing cost and schedule baselines, performance metrics, and progress reporting frameworks
• Experienced in claims prevention, negotiation, and dispute resolution through proactive analysis and stakeholder engagement
• Effective leadership and mentoring capabilities, with a track record of building high‑performing, technically proficient teams
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy and compliance
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex data clearly to senior stakeholders
• Strategic thinker who can align project controls with organizational objectives and long‑term business goals

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of integrated project schedules using approved scheduling software
• Facilitate the creation, review, and ongoing updates of project schedules, including milestones and financial deadlines
• Lead regular schedule review meetings to assess progress and identify impacts to objectives
• Identify schedule risks and constraints, develop mitigation strategies, and support schedule recovery planning
• Implement and maintain the project control budget, monitoring schedule performance and cost vs. budget
• Develop and maintain project budgets and cost control systems
• Prepare cost forecasts, financial reports, and variance analyses; identify trends and corrective actions
• Implement cost control measures to optimize project performance and profitability
• Conduct regular cost reviews and audits to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Develop and maintain a project-specific cost management plan
• Identify project risks and maintain risk management plans
• Monitor and report on risk status and mitigation effectiveness
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders
• Participate in strategic planning for optimization of goals and timelines
• Facilitate project meetings and effective communication across teams
• Prepare and present regular project status reports highlighting progress and trends
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation including schedules, budgets, forecasts, and reports
• Ensure timely communication of project information to stakeholders for transparency and accountability
