Job summary

City of Edmonton is seeking an Application & Infrastructure Analyst I to support the Edmonton Police Service’s digital and physical infrastructure. You will monitor systems, troubleshoot incidents, and maintain documentation to ensure stable operations.

The role requires a related degree or diploma with experience, plus strong problem-solving and collaboration skills. Expect 40-hour weeks with a salary in the OC2 range, and eligibility for enhanced security clearances.

Qualifications

• Degree in a related discipline with one year relevant experience; OR post-secondary diploma with two years relevant experience; OR related certificate (minimum 700 instructional hours) with four years relevant experience.
• Completion of Grade 12 or GED is required.
• Relevant computer certificate programs generally have a minimum of 700+ instructional hours and will include relevant course work to the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support and maintenance of assigned applications and infrastructure.
• Monitor system health, logs, batch jobs, and incident queues.
• Troubleshoot incidents and service requests escalated from the Service Desk and implement remedial actions.
• Install, configure, and maintain application and server components within established standards.
• Maintain technical documentation, system procedures, and operational records.
• Communicate system status and issues to internal stakeholders and collaborate with internal teams.
• Resolve operational and technical issues using established procedures and escalate complex issues as needed.
