Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking IT Field Service technicians to support our client’s hardware, networking, and troubleshooting needs. The roles cover Courtenay, Nanaimo and Prince George, BC, with after-hours shifts beginning around 6pm.

Assignments are sporadic and may include overnight stays. Pay is $30/hour, with travel time unpaid and km reimbursed at $0.73/km. You must have a car, laptop, cell phone, and basic tools; A+ certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of hardware, networking, and troubleshooting experience.
• 6 months of proven customer service experience.
• A+ certification or equivalent experience.
• On-site service is required; own car, cell phone, laptop and console cable.
• Must be willing to travel and stay overnight if needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs desktops, laptops, servers, and printers; POS installations.
• Printer repair and hardware installations with network troubleshooting.
• Deliver strong customer service and professional communication.
• Execute IMAC-like projects and manage service stock levels.
• Adhere to SLAs and ensure customer satisfaction.

Job description:

At Kelly, we are recruiting IT Field Service technicians to support our Client. As a Field Service technician, you will support our clients with their hardware, networking, and troubleshooting requirements. Sporadic / on-call roles

Locations required:

Courtenay, BC

Nanaimo, BC

Prince George, BC

Upcoming assignment:

Need 10 techs in the above mentioned locations

Pay rate: $30/hour

No travel time is paid

Km will be paid at .73c p/km

Date of assignment: October

Scope:

Assisting lead customer tech refresh all pinpoint machines at Costco stores across the country.

Work will be after hours

5hr shifts are estimated

Must be available to work from 6pm onwards

• 1+ years of hardware, networking, and troubleshooting experience; in-field experience will be considered an asset.
• 6 months of proven customer service experience is a must.

• You are A+ certified or have experience.

• Do sporadic tickets, mostly server-related work.
• Will need to drive and be willing to stay overnight, if necessary, as some tickets have a late start.

• Ensure customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations that result in satisfied customer service.
