Job summary

Bellabee Childcare in West Vancouver is seeking an Infant Toddler Educator for our Gordon House location. We operate two boutique centres, with a child- and educator-first philosophy, licensed for 8 infants/toddlers and 12 preschoolers.

The ideal candidate holds a BC ECE or Infant/Toddler license, plus First Aid/CPR and a clean criminal record check. You will build strong relationships, develop curriculum and documentation, and thrive in a collaborative team while enjoying outdoor activities.

Qualifications

• Hold a BC ECE, or Infant/Toddler license to practice.
• Hold a valid 1st Aid + CPR Certificate.
• Consent to a Criminal Record check.
• Knowledge of the Reggio Emilia approach.
• Passion for ongoing growth and professional development.

Bellabee Childcare has been providing high quality childcare in West Vancouver since 1997. We operate 2 small, boutique style childcare centres, and we invest in a 'child and educator first' philosophy. Our educators well being, and the children's health+ safety, is our top priority. We are currently seeking an amazing Infant Toddler Educator to join our team at our Gordon House location. Our program is located in a cozy building in the heart of West Vancouver, and we are licensed for 8 infant/toddlers and 12 preschoolers.

The Ideal Candidate will:

• Hold a valid BC ECE, or Infant/Toddler, license to practice.
• Hold a valid 1st Aid + CPR Certificate.
• Consent to a Criminal Record check.
• Knowledge of the Reggio Emilia approach.
• Have a passion for ongoing growth and professional development.
• Be flexible, punctual, and be a positive team player.
• Uses both music and humour as positive teaching tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build strong relationships with the children & their families.

Compensation:

• $29.00-$31.00 per hour (which includes 6$ Wage Enhancement).
• 6% vacation pay will be added to each pay period.
• 1 'bonus' week paid summer break.
• Flexibility and support for extended vacation time.
• Rotatingshifts between 7:45am-5:15pm (Centre is open 7:45am-5:00pm).
• 7.5 hours direct service ~ 1/2 hour paid break + 1/2 hour unpaid break.

The ideal candidate will hold their Infant/Toddler certification (ECE certification only will be considered), and have experience working with children under 3.
