Job summary

Coast Educare is hiring Infant & Toddler Educators to shape young minds in a hands-on learning environment. The role emphasizes nurturing care, age-appropriate curriculum, and close communication with families and teammates.

You will document child progress and support each child’s development within a BC-aligned Early Learning Framework. We value strong English communication, classroom management, and dedication to open-ended play-based learning.

Qualifications

  • Must have a license to practice as an Infant & Toddler Educator (ITE).
  • First Aid/CPR valid.
  • Food Safe (Basic - Level 1).
  • Clear Criminal Record Check from the Ministry of Justice.

Duties
  • Create and implement age-appropriate curriculum and learning activities

  • Provide individualized guidance to support each child's needs
  • Monitor and assess each child's development and progress
  • Collaborate with families, colleagues and communicate regularly about children's progress.
  • Excellent spoken and written English language a must
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
Requirements
  • License to practice as an Infant and Toddler Educator (ITE)
  • Valid First Aid/CPR
  • Food Safe (Basic - Level 1)
  • Clear Criminal Record Check from the Ministry of Justice
  • 2-3 positive professional references
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of the Reggio Emilia Approach and open-ended play based learning
  • Familiar with BC's Early Learning Framework, ECEBC's Code of Ethics, and ECPN
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to effectively manage a classroom of young children
  • Knowledgeable about children's nutritional needs to educate about our Nutrition Program

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00-$26.00 per hours plus a $6 Government Wage Enhancement ($31.00-$32.00)

Experience
  • Childcare: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification
  • BC License to practice as an ITE
