Weldco-Beales Manufacturing in Langley, BC is seeking an Industrial Spray Painter (Manufacturing) to join our manufacturing team. The role involves preparing surfaces, applying primers and paints, and achieving high-quality finishes on heavy-duty attachments.

The job requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work with spray equipment. The successful candidate will have grade 10 or higher, with industrial painting experience considered an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Estimate material quantity by measuring surfaces or reviewing a work order.
• Prepare the surface by cleaning, filling nail holes and cracks, and sanding rough spots.
• Use brushes, rollers, or spray guns to apply liquid coatings.
• Apply undercoat primer or sealer before painting.
• Match colours by mixing and thinning paints as required.
• Use wire wheel to remove imperfections on plates and welds.
• Apply finishes that are sponged, ragged and layered.

Salary Range: $25.00 To $32.00 Hourly

Who Are You?

Reporting to the general foreman you will work following given instructions to produce high quality painting results

What you will do:

• Estimate the quantity of material required by measuring surfaces or reviewing a work order
• Preparethe surface by cleaning, filling nail holes and cracks, and sanding rough spots to smooth the area for painting
• Use brushes, rollers or spray guns to apply liquid coatings such as paint,.
• Applyan undercoat primer or sealer before painting
• Usepremixed paints, or by mixingcolour and pigment with oil and thinning and drying additives, to match specified colours
• Using wire wheel to remove imperfections in the plate and weld.
• Applyfinishes that are sponged, ragged and layered
• Completion of Grade 10(Preference will be given to high school graduates.)
• Experience in Industrial Painting is considered an asset
• Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others
• Time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent safety record
