Weldco-Beales Manufacturing in Langley, BC is seeking a General Labourer to support the machine shop by following work orders and performing manual duties. You will sort, load/unload, grind and deburr parts, read orders, and assist with material transport. Training for forklift operation is available as an asset.

Qualifications

• Must meet the basic education requirement of Grade 10 or equivalent.
• Follow work orders and safety procedures in a machine shop environment.
• Read and interpret work orders and related documentation.

Responsabilités

• Sort metal sheets, parts and scrap material.
• Load and unload metal parts from fixtures; move parts with hand trucks or dollies.
• Grind and deburr edges using hand and power tools.
• Read and interpret work orders and follow directions from supervisors.
• Transport raw materials and finished products using hoists or manual methods.
• Operate forklifts, jib cranes and overhead cranes as trained.

Who Are You?

Reporting to the Machine Shop Foreman you will support manufacturing process by following work orders and assisting with various manual duties.

What you will do:

• Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal and other materials
• Load and unload metal parts from fixtures and moves parts using hand truck or dolly
• Grind and deburr sharp edges from metal parts using hand and power tools
• Read and interpret work orders
• Follow directions given on work orders and by co-workers
• Transport raw materials and finished metal products manually, using hoists or other devices
• Operate Fork Lifts, jib and overhead cranes
• Perform other duties as required
• Completion of grade 10
• Ability to operate Fork Lift an asset, training may be provided
• General knowledge of basic tools and equipment
• Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others
• Time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent safety record
