Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Cargill Industrial Security Guard in High River, Alberta to monitor trailers, verify loads and ensure safety. You’ll inspect shipments, manage documents and communicate with drivers and plant teams on a day-to-day basis.

Requires Alberta security license, Class 5 license and ability to work 12-hour shifts; benefits include education support and uniform provided. Outdoor duties in all weather conditions apply.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in Canada.
• Valid Alberta security license.
• Full Class 5 Driver's License and reliable vehicle.
• Available to work 12 hour shifts - days and nights.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Strong proficiency with technology.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming and outgoing trailers, verifying condition, temperature settings, seals and transport readiness.
• Monitor refrigerated trailers and conduct regular temperature checks to ensure compliance and product integrity.
• Verifying trailer weights, axle configurations, and load compliance using truck scales.
• Review and process shipping documents, bills of lading, scale tickets and transportation records.
• Seal trailers and confirm shipment requirements prior to departure.
• Maintain accurate inspection, shipment, and compliance records using site systems.
• Communicate with drivers, carriers, and plant departments to support daily transportation operations.
• Investigate and document temperature deviations, trailer discrepancies and operational issues.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions while performing inspections, yard checks, and transportation related duties.

Skills
