Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Camp Security Guard in Fort McMurray, Alberta. You will monitor surveillance, respond to threats, and perform patrols to safeguard premises.

The role requires a valid Alberta security license, First Aid certification, and strong report writing. A Class 5 driver's license and clean driving record are preferred for site access and transport needs.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.

• First aid certification.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Full Class 5 Drivers License.
• Clean Drivers Abstract.
• CSO - Common Safety Orientation.
• Strong proficiency with technology.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports.
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies.

What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Your strong observation skills with attention to detail are your greatest strengths.

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they elevate in environments such as security operation centres, call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.
