Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Power Industrial Security Guard to join our team in Canada. You will play a key role in visitor assistance, access control, and patrols within a high-profile industrial environment, delivering strong customer service and quick response in emergencies.

The position offers a Sunday to Thursday night shift, uniform provided, and a pathway for professional development through GardaWorldAcademy.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in Canada.
• First aid certification an asset.
• Proficient in basic phone & computer skills.
• Full Saskatchewan driving license (min past 12 months).
• Clear driving abstract (past 12 months).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience as a Security guard at a high-profile site (asset).
• Leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment.
• Requires Drug and Alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist visitors, verify identification, provide guidance while maintaining customer service.
• Control access at entry/exit points using electronic systems or checks to ensure only authorized individuals enter.
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols to establish presence and identify risks.
• Monitor and document security systems and CCTV and escalate concerns.
• Inspect and report maintenance needs related to security equipment and facility infrastructure.
• Respond to incidents or complaints, provide first aid when required, coordinate with responders.
• Secure doors and enforce regulations and city by-laws at all times.
• Protect client assets against theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other risks.
• Document all activities with incident reports and daily logs, ensure timely communication.
• Foster positive staff relationships and act as first point of contact during emergencies.

Responsibilities for Power Industrial Security Guard

• Welcome and assist visitors, verify identification,issue and provide clear guidance while maintaining excellent customer service both in person and over the phone.
• Control access at entry and exit pointsusing electronic systems or physical checks to ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises.
• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrolsof stairwells, hallways, and common areas to establish presence, identify risks, and maintain order.
• Monitor and document all security systems and CCTVfor suspicious activity or operational issues, escalating concerns when needed.
• Inspect and report maintenance needsrelatedto security equipment and facility infrastructure.
• Respond promptly to incidents or complaints, provide first aid when required, and coordinate effectively with emergency responders.
• Secure identified doors, ensure proper locking procedures, and enforce property regulations and city by-laws at all times.
• Protect client assetsagainst theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other safety concerns by remaining alert and proactive.
• Document all activities, including incident reports, maintenance logs, and daily reports, ensuring accuracy and timely communication of concerns.
• Foster positive staff relationshipsand act as the first point of contact during emergencies to ensure a coordinated and professional response
