Job summary

GardaWorld in Langley, British Columbia, is looking for an Industrial Security Guard to join our full-time team. You will help control access, patrol an industrial site, and respond to incidents while maintaining vigilance and professionalism.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, training through GardaWorld Academy, and opportunities for growth. Uniforms are provided, with shifts across days, evenings, and overnights to support a dynamic security operation.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Valid BC Security Worker Licence - required.
• First aid certification - OFA 1 ( an asset ).
• Strong written communication and report-writing skills.
• Excellent eyesight and the ability to maintain focus and attention to detail for extended periods.
• Proficient in the use of technology and security-related systems.
• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
• Comfortable working independently for extended periods when required.
• Strong situational awareness and sound judgment are essential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access at the Feeder Gate
• Verify vehicle movements, trailers, and authorized personnel
• Conduct active patrols of the gate area and surrounding perimeter
• Protect client's assets, including trailers and vehicles
• Question and document unauthorized or suspicious activity
• Escalate incidents to police first, then notify management as per SOP
• Complete detailed patrol and incident reports
• Maintain constant vigilance during overnight and low-activity periods

As a Security Guard, you'll play an important role in supporting daily operations through access control, site monitoring, patrols, and incident response. Rain or shine, you'll work both indoors and outdoors, taking on new challenges each shift while building valuable experience in security, customer service, and problem-solving. If you enjoy staying active, working independently, and making a meaningful impact, this is the role for you.

• Hourly wage rate of $20 + comprehensive benefits package

Full-time opportunities are available from Monday to Friday with day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, afternoon shifts from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and overnight shifts from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM.
