Job summary

CIMCO is seeking an apprentice-level technician to perform preventative maintenance for our industrial refrigeration and HVAC projects. The role involves working with a team or remotely from a mobile location, reading drawings, and coordinating with engineers and contractors.

The position requires 1st to 5th year apprenticeship, a valid driver's license, and the ability to participate in safety talks and daily reporting. Union wage details are provided in the posting with a total package quoted.

Qualifications

• Experienced 1st to 5th Year Apprentice.
• Valid driver’s licence in good standing.
• Previous ammonia/CO2 refrigerant experience is an asset.
• Industrial HVAC/refrigeration construction or pipe fitting experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance within our customer base.
• Identify and communicate potential upgrades and required maintenance to customers and account managers.
• Be available to participate in the on-call rotation throughout the year.
• Be able to work as part of a team or independently from a mobile location.
• Read drawings and coordinate with outside contractors and engineering.
• Keep daily time and prepare detailed daily reports on work progress.
• Organize and evaluate daily work to meet the established project schedule.
• Implement and follow policies and procedures to maintain quality workmanship.
• Complete daily hazard assessments and lead required safety talks.
