Job summary

CIMCO Refrigeration in Winnipeg is seeking an apprentice-level technician to perform preventative maintenance across our customer base and communicate upgrade needs to customers and account managers. You may participate in the on-call rotation and work independently from a mobile location or as part of a team.

We value safety, clear communication, and reliability. Prior ammonia/CO2 refrigerant exposure is an asset; UA 254 membership or willingness to join is preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• 1st to 5th year apprentice.
• Valid driver’s licence in good standing.
• Experience with ammonia or CO2 refrigerant is an asset.
• Industrial and commercial HVAC/refrigeration experience is an asset.
• Gas Fitter licence and controls experience are assets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• UA 254 membership or willingness to join where required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance within our customer base.
• Identify and communicate potential upgrades to customers and account managers.
• Participate in on-call rotation throughout the year.
• Work as part of a team or independently from a mobile location.
• Read drawings and coordinate with outside contractors and engineering.
• Keep daily time and prepare detailed daily progress reports.
