Aerotek is seeking an Industrial Painter for a contract position in Calgary, AB. You will paint large industrial components and equipment, coordinate setup and finish work, and perform airless spraying, masking, and thickness checks to ensure quality.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of epoxy, urethane, and organic zinc paints.
  • Experience in blasting, sandblasting, sanding and paint mixing.

Job description

As an Industrial Painter, you will be responsible for painting larger industrial components, manufacturing equipment, and small parts. This involves preparation, setup, finishing, airless spraying, masking, and conducting quality checks on paint thickness. You may also be required to use a blast booth and assist in the facility as needed. You'll be working as part of a larger team when handling bigger components.

Work in a fabrication environment on gas compression skids and modular units. Join a team of 15 painters, with potential to work with partners depending on the scope of work. Available shifts include days (Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, 6AM-4:30PM), nights (Monday-Thursday, 4:30PM-2:30AM, with a $5 premium), weekends (Friday-Monday, 6AM-4:30PM, with a $3 premium), and flexible shifts (6AM-2PM on any given day). Overtime is paid after 40 hours, and double time is paid after 56 hours.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.25 - $35.25/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
