Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled technician to repair, adjust, and maintain industrial overhead doors, dock levelers, and related equipment in Brooks, Canada.

Troubleshoot mechanical components, perform safety inspections, and support production teams to meet daily targets, while following strict Lockout/Tagout procedures.

A mechanical diploma or carpenter certificate is preferred, with 2+ years in commercial/industrial construction, and ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in commercial/industrial construction.
• Experience servicing commercial overhead doors and industrial loading dock equipment.
• Ability to work at heights and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, including LOTO procedures.
• Mechanical or Carpenter diploma or certificate.
• Equivalent experience will be considered.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical components.
• Use of hand tools, power tools and machine shop equipment.
• Must complete a pre-hire medical and drug and alcohol test.
• Employment offer conditional upon satisfactory completion of the medical and drug and alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Repair, adjust, and maintain industrial overhead doors, dock levelers, and doors.
• Troubleshoot and install industrial doors and related equipment.
• Inspect and repair dock levelers, vehicle restraints, and seals.
• Execute scheduled safety inspections on loading docks.
• Support production supervisors and operators to reach targets.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures per company policies.
• Work as part of a team to meet targets.
