Kaycan, a division of Saint-Gobain, is hiring an Industrial Millwright (433A) in Smiths Falls to join our maintenance team. You will perform inspections, repairs, and installations on manufacturing equipment, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

The role starts with straight day shifts during training, then rotates on a 6-week schedule. Wage is $42.00/hour and includes comprehensive benefits and safety-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Must have 433A Millwright license or equivalent.
• Experience maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting industrial equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Skilled with precision measuring tools; welding, machining, fabrication.
• Familiar with PLCs, sensors, and automated systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installation of manufacturing equipment.
• Complete preventive maintenance activities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with production teams to maximize equipment uptime and performance.
• Fabricate, rebuild, and modify equipment and components as required.
• Operate machining and welding equipment, including lathes, mills, welders, and plasma cutters.
• Read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and blueprints.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to resolve technical issues.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned.

Is this job for you ?

• Licensed Industrial Millwright (433A) or equivalent trade certification, with ownership of basic hand tools and a strong commitment to Health & Safety and safe work practices.
• Proven experience maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting industrial manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Skilled in using precision measuring tools and performing welding, machining, and fabrication work.
• Familiarity with PLCs, sensors, and automated systems, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

To make sure nothing is forgotten

• Permanent, full-time position
• wage: $42.00/hour
• 40 hours per week on a rotating 6-week shift schedule

During the initial training period, you will work on straight day shifts for several months before transitioning to the regular rotation.

Shift Rotation:

Shift Hours:

• Day Shift: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Afternoon Shift: 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
• Night Shift: 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Additional Benefits:

• $500 annual tool allowance
• $500 annual boot and work clothing allowance
