Viacore Solutions in Edmonton is seeking a Journeyman Millwright to join our service team. The role focuses on alignment, maintenance, repair, and startup support for fixed rotating equipment, with potential travel to client sites as needed.

Candidates must hold a Millwright Journeyman Certificate and be prepared for shift work and occasional overtime. This is a full-time, in-person position with opportunities for professional growth within our North American network.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Millwright Journeyman Certificate and be eligible to work in Canada.
• Experience with fixed rotating equipment preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and manuals, and work with precision tools.

Responsibilities

• Align, maintain, repair, service and inspect fixed rotating equipment.
• Use machining, hand, power tools and precision measuring tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical equipment.
• Assemble machinery and provide startup support.
• Read blueprints, drawings and manuals.
• Support shutdowns and asset rebuilds.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and operate equipment safely.
• Mentor apprentices through their professional development.

Job Summary

Our Edmonton branch is currently seeking a Journeyman Millwright to join our dynamic services team. We are looking for skilled, experienced, and highly motivated professionals with a strong work ethic who thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. This role may involve some travel as part of service operations. This is a current vacancy. At this time, we are only accepting applications from candidates with a Millwright Journeyman Certificate. Apprentice positions are not being considered.

Job duties

• Alignments, maintenance, repair, service, and inspection of fixed rotating equipment
• Proficient in the use of machining tools, hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement tools
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical equipment
• Assemble machinery and commission start-up support
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and manuals
• Shutdown service support and asset rebuilds
• Keep work area and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly condition
• Perform duties and operate equipment in a safe and satisfactory manner
• Safely operate mobile equipment and hoisting devices when necessary
• Complete all jobs in a timely manner
• Able to work individually or in larger group atmospheres
• Mentor apprentices through their professional development
