Job summary
GTR Worldwide in Canada is seeking skilled industrial mechanics to perform installation, maintenance and repair of industrial machinery in construction and industrial settings.
You will troubleshoot, align, read blueprints and fabricate components, while following safety protocols and supporting continuous operation.
This role offers opportunities for growth across branches and requires apprenticeship completion and several years of hands-on experience.
Qualifications
- Completion of millwright/industrial mechanic apprenticeship or equivalent.
- Multiple years of hands-on experience installing, maintaining and repairing industrial machinery.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics; knowledge of welding and fabrication.
Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, align and commission industrial machinery.
- Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on rotating equipment.
- Diagnose faults using diagnostic tools and implement corrective actions.
- Fabricate, modify and replace parts using welding, fitting and machining.
- Read blueprints, technical drawings and manuals to plan and execute work.
- Operate lifting and rigging equipment safely.
